A car boot can look generous until the weekend bags arrive. Before choosing a pet pram, it is worth checking the space you will actually use, with your usual passengers and luggage in the car.
You do not need a complicated test. A tape measure and a few notes can reveal the awkward parts before the first trip: the narrow opening, the loading lip or the sloping rear window.
Measure the opening as well as the floor
Record the narrowest width of the boot opening and the available height through it. Then measure the usable floor space inside, including wheel arches and anything that normally stays in the boot. The pram has to pass through the opening before it can fit on the floor.
Check the space with the rear seats in the position you will actually use. Consider the parcel shelf and the angle of the tailgate when closed. A measurement taken with the door open can overstate what will fit once it shuts.
Compare the folded dimensions
The Uppapets comparison page lists folded dimensions as length × width × height. Hybrid is 30 × 49 × 74 cm, Nero Plus is 34 × 51 × 70 cm and Flander is 34 × 49 × 78 cm. Check the current model listing before ordering.
Use those measurements to make a simple cardboard guide or mark an outline with removable tape. Allow room to manoeuvre rather than relying on an exact squeeze. Do not assume removing a wheel or part of the frame is an approved storage method; check the instructions first.

Think about the lift, not just the fit
Hybrid’s listed stroller weight is 8.4 kg, compared with 9.5 kg for Nero Plus and 9.6 kg for Flander. How manageable that feels depends on your strength, reach and the car’s loading height. A lower number alone does not guarantee a comfortable lift for everyone.
Plan where your pet will be safely contained while you load the empty pram. Take loose belongings out before folding and use the handling method in the manual. If you are unsure about lifting it comfortably, ask for a demonstration or help before committing.
Leave room for the rest of the trip
Add the bags you normally carry to your test, including water, food and anything needed for an overnight stay. The best fit is one you can repeat without unpacking the entire car at every stop.
A stroller cabin is not automatically a vehicle restraint. Plan your pet’s car travel separately using equipment intended for that purpose and follow its fitting instructions. Once the boot arrangement is sorted, our weekend packing list can help with the smaller things.
