A Hunter Valley weekend does not need a tasting booked in every spare hour. Choose a cellar door you want to visit, leave room for lunch and ask where your dog can join you.
These three wineries publish dog-friendly information on their own websites. They offer different starting points in Pokolbin and Mount View; treat them as options for your weekend, rather than a schedule to complete in one day.
Gundog Estate, Pokolbin
Gundog Estate’s Hunter Cellar and Gourmet Pantry is at 101 McDonald’s Road. Its visitor page specifically mentions tasting space for people with dogs on the verandah and deck, and encourages reservations.
When you book, mention that your dog is coming and ask for the appropriate outdoor space. Check the current tasting options before choosing a time: it is more useful to book one experience you are interested in than to leave every stop to chance.
This is the address to use for the Hunter visit. Gundog also has a cellar door in Gundaroo, so check the location when following a booking link.
Pepper Tree Wines, Pokolbin
At 86 Halls Road, Pepper Tree Wines explicitly welcomes pets. The winery offers bookable experiences through its website, giving you a way to choose the visit before you arrive.
Tell the team your group size and that a dog is joining you, then confirm the seating arrangements for your chosen experience. A general welcome does not establish every detail of a particular booking, especially if you are arranging a celebration or visiting as a larger group.
Let this be the centre of an afternoon if that suits your plans. There is no requirement to turn a visit to wine country into a race between cellar doors.

Briar Ridge Vineyard, Mount View
Briar Ridge Vineyard, at 593 Mount View Road, says dogs can sit alongside their owners at the table. Its visitor page sets out the tasting experiences and booking options.
Ask for the current arrangements for the day you plan to visit, including where your group will sit. Keep a separate lunch booking in mind if food is part of your day; a tasting reservation and a restaurant table are different things.
Mount View gives you another area to include in the weekend. Check the journey from your accommodation before choosing a time, leaving room for arrival rather than scheduling back-to-back appointments.
Before you book
Confirm dog access, seating, current opening times and the tasting charge directly with each venue. Check any group limits and ask what happens to an outdoor booking if the weather changes. If you are arranging a transfer, confirm that the operator accepts your dog before paying.
Then choose one or two visits that genuinely appeal to you. The spaces between them—a late start, an unhurried lunch, an afternoon back at your accommodation—are part of the weekend too.
